WRECK-IT RALPH - Ralph is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero. PG

Become/Renew a

Quonochontaug Grange “Friend Membership”

For June 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019

Dear Friend:

First, and on behalf of both the Board of Directors and our entire community, thank you for your continued support of the Quonochontaug Grange. Your FOTQG membership evidences a commitment to preserve the Quonnie Grange by restoring its prominence as a centerpiece of our community, meeting place available to all and, most importantly, venue for gatherings that will instill, inspire and promote community spirit, history and strength.  We are co-hosting a special such gathering on July 25th with the Quonochontaug Historical Society – details to follow.

Over the last 12 months, we have made significant progress on several fronts. The main level of the Grange is now equipped with a multi-use, state-of-the-art audio-visual system, enhanced by the installation of several, smartly designed and displayed, sound-control panels. In addition to projecting sound and images easily and professionally for meetings and presentations, the system has enabled us to launch monthly “Quonnie Movie Nights,” scheduled for the 2nd Friday of each month. The format is simple: a 6:15pm social sharing of “pot-luck” desserts/snacks followed by the movie at7pm. We have earmarked July and August for “Family Movie Nights” -details and movies TBA.

With new carpeting in the foyer, a fresh coat and color of paint to complement the new AV system, and the upcoming display of historic Quonnie photos, the main level is undergoing a major “facelift.” To put an exclamation point on its work, our conscientious “painting party”, led by Roy Jacobsen, continued “partying” in the lower level. More building enhancements – including a re-designed “caterer’s kitchen” - are being planned. We have submitted three grant requests to support this work. With the support of the Dunn’s Corner Fire District, we are expanding the west-side parking area to provide additional parking while maintaining a sufficiently wide driveway for fire department vehicles.  (See some photos on the back of this letter.)

As we begin our fourth year, we are asking you and all of our other Friends to renew their memberships as official “Friends of the Quonochontaug Grange” for June 2018-May 2019 (Additional contributions are always welcome). Your support, coupled with our ongoing stewardship, insures that the Quonochontaug Grange will be available for many years to come.

We hope you will consider the Grange for any upcoming events, meetings, family parties or other gatherings that you are planning (rentals can be arranged at RENTALS). Also, we invite you to support our efforts by becoming a “Friend” of the Quonnie Grange by making a modest $25 tax deductible contribution to our organization by completing the Membership Form CLICK HERE and mail it back to us with your check made out to Friends of the Quonochontaug Grange (FOTQG). OR you can donate using PayPal by CLICK HERE.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and we hope you will support our ongoing efforts to revitalize and restore the Quonnie Grange as a historically significant gathering place for our entire community.

As always, if you have questions, ideas or would like to become involved, send us an email at or contact me or any of our other Board Members, Bob Lavery, Roy Jacobsen, Tom Doyle or Ann Bettinger-DiRobbio.

Sincerely and with great appreciation,

Ron Meneo, President
